Why Do People Think Marijuana Cures Cancer?

Question by patricia: Why do people think Marijuana cures cancer?
I’m a registered nurse, and I can tell you that Marijuana most certainly does not. It actually causes you to have a higher risk of GETTING cancer, because it suppresses the enzymes in the liver that fight cancer, therefore making you more vulnerable to get cancer, yet I always hear these teenagers who think they have PhD’s claiming marijuana “cures cancer”… Where did this logic come from?
