Question by Thominator: Why do people honestly believe prohibition is the answer?
When statistics show that more Americans try marijuana than Dutch people, or that people under the age of 21 abuse alcohol more here than in Europe, why do Americans still foolishly support “thou shalt not” policies that merely encourage the behavior?

Free sex, free marijuana and freedom every thing is the net result of what America is today.

Anything that’s forbidden is always more alluring. We had alcohol prohibition in the US in the 1920s. It didn’t work at all in spite of some pretty hefty government raids on alcohol stashes. In fact, prohibition gave rise to one of the most vicious crime waves the US has ever known.
