it means the one (or more) things that have to happen for a deal to go through.

for instance, if you’re buying a car, you might say, “i want new floor mats in the car. if i don’t get them, it’s a deal breaker.” that means you won’t go through the deal of buying the car unless new mats are provided.

for instance…you were dating someone and weren’t sure if they were the one or not, well you hate something and they do it, that would be the deal breaker
