I think i was molested when i was younger.. and now that im thinking harder about it, trying to find out what happened, its changing the way i am…

For example, i have these little “malfunctions” like my brain freezes and i do something extremely weird and i always make inappropriate jokes about rape, selling people, just stuff you normally wouldnt joke about.

I have never acted like this before… these weird things and thoughts after i found out /:

Children repress feelings when they are traumatized in childhood as a way of surviving and carrying on. But later in life, the feelings that have been held back begin to come out and you experience them just as you would have if you had not repressed them back then. There is a very good book which describes this process and offers guidance as to how to manage it called
“The Courage to Heal – Third Edition – Revised and Expanded: A Guide for Women Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse by Ellen Bass and Laura Davis and a companion workbook: The Courage to Heal Workbook: A Guide for Women and Men Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse” written by Laura Davis. There are many other books available online or in bookstores as well. I just suggest these because I know they are thorough and helpful to people.

The energy of repressed memories is powerful, and prompts the kinds of behaviors you describe because cracking jokes diminishes some of the pent-up energy.

You can heal from past sexual abuse by becoming aware of the truth of what you lived through and allowing the feelings associated with that to surface and become expressed. To the extent that the feelings are very powerful, allowing them to surface can cause a temporary inability to function normally (continue to learn at school, continue to behave appropriately in social situations) and you may want to seek support and guidance in therapy to help you through that time. The book I referenced discusses all that in detail.
