It’s actually illegal in just about every country, at least the ones you probably want to live in. It’s been decriminalized in a few, and you can legally smoke in Amsterdam under certain circumstances. Many European countries have even more draconian laws against it than the US. And don’t even think about going to a Muslim country. They’ll chop off body parts for simple possession, up to and including your head.

In Belgium and the Netherlands your allowed to grow up to 4 plants for personal use. In Switzerland it’s permissible to grow it but not to smoke it and I think Muhammed IV granted special dispensation to an area of the Kif mountain range where growth of cannabis would be permitted.
