Question by Terry: What causes cocaine to just quit working?
I used to do it a lot but basically quit for 2 years. The few times I’ve tried it in the last year it has had no effect. But I know it’s not a problem with the quality of the stuff because other people love it.

Your brain sort of becomes used to it, to put it basically. Cocaine affects the “reward system” of the brain and gives you that feeling. I believe it affects endorphins…or maybe the level of serotonin. I can’t remember.

That happened to me as well. I think it was just because I was seriously in a different place in my life. I wasn’t into partying like I used to be. I think because I was more mature and responsible, my mind just subconsciously blocked it out and i wasn’t allowing myself to get high. But who knows? The answer before mine sounds more logical 🙂
