Student society… Definitely set up a mediation team for students who are arguing. I have seen this be successful in many school atmospheres and EVERY school should have one. GOOD LUCK!

By Welfare Director, I’m assuming you are in charge of programs that benefit the students directly in that society.
Projects that are tried and true are always good like holding resource fairs were students can get info on services that are provided by the school and local community. I always enjoyed the awareness projects were guest speakers and organizations shared information with students regarding a certain topic like “Substance Abuse”, “Identity Theft”, and “Sexual Health”. Another project that would benefit students is a mentor program where upper-division students are mentors to incoming freshmen or recent transfer students.
Play with some projects and combine some too. Think big and think small. If I was looking for a person to fill this position I would like them to have goals that they want to complete by the end of their term, an attention for small concerns as a means for solving bigger issues.
Good luck and just be genuine about what you want to accomplish.
