Im doing a study on drug addiction and need to know whether it is inherited or passed down from generation to generation or do you learn to use drugs from family members or peer pressure.

I had to read a book over teen alcoholism including stories of 4 teens and what they went through to get over their addiction. Now i have to write a report over it, and the outline asks to include the branch of biology the book is over. Can someone help me out choosing which one? Thanks!

I would say that it would be appropriate to include it under “physiology” and “psychology” in that the addiction effects the metabolism of the body and also the brain in creating an addiction to alcohol.
