Know the Score 2010 Cocaine Campaign Launch

Know the Score 2010 cocaine campaign launch – The launch of the Scottish Government’s 2010 Know the Score campaign highlighting the dangers of taking cocaine. The campaign, which specifically targets 16-22-year-olds and will feature advertising in cinemas, buses and online, is aimed at making young Scots aware of the health risks of using cocaine – such as paranoia and chest pains as well as an increased chance of having a heart attack or stroke. Glasgow Parkour Coaching student, 18-year-old Nina Ballantyne, encourages young people to make positive choices, such as getting involved in parkour, the activity made famous in the opening sequence of the James Bond movie Casino Royale. And Dr Saket Priyadarshi, lead clinician with Greater Glasgow and Clyde Addictions Partnership, discusses the potential consequences of cocaine use.
