How Did the Coca-Cola Company Stay in Business?

Question by Ask Me?: How did the Coca-Cola company stay in business?
How did they manage to stay in business when people found out there were illegal drugs in there? or was it legal back then? Just out of curiosity, were any arrests made against the owners?

Best answer:

Answer by class of ’13
When they found this out, it was a long time ago, so they just took it out without a penalty. I wish it was still added though.

Answer by Miss Missy W
Cocaine was legal back then. As was Codeine and a few other pretty addictive drugs. Once things were made illegal, businesses stopped putting such “ingredients” into their products.
