Is My Applicant for Foster Parenting a Current/former Drug User?
Question by LIZ: Is my applicant for foster parenting a current/former drug user?
I really need some feedback on a specific symptom indicating current or former drug usage. I am in the process of assessing someone to be a foster parent. She is always doing that twitch where you wipe your nose a lot. It’s not like she has a runny nose. It’s really like a twitch. I know common symptoms of drug users but she doesn’t really have anything else that causes a red flag. She doesn’t seem honest, overall… so it’s making me more and more uneasy. Is there another reason someone would have that “nose wiping” twitch and also, do people who USED TO do drugs do it after they quit or just people who are CURRENTLY doing drugs. I wish drug testing was an option but it’s not. Thanks.

The steroids scandal. Not just in the WWF, but in bodybuilding, pro football, pro baseball, the Olympics, jeez everywhere, even in high school sports. It got to the point that all pro wrestlers were looked at as steroid monsters, and anytime anybody broke a record in any pro sports the first thing most people thought was “he used steroids to do it”. In the bodybuilding world they tried to sell the competitions as “natural bodybuilding” to try to deflect the steroids accusations, constantly harping on the “drug testing” they do to make sure all entrants were “drug-free”.

Employment to Large Companies…drug Tests?
Question by puffer fish: Employment to large companies…drug tests?
I recently tried to apply to a large company to be an accountant, and they asked if I would be willing to do a hair folical test. I said yes, but never returned their phone call because I knew I would fail…I used cocaine and marijuana several months ago, and although it would be long gone in my urine or blood, I heard it stays in your hair folical for years…are most companies doing hair folical tests now?
