Why Do Drug Addicts Think They Are Better Than Everyone Else When They Quit Drugs for a Few Months?

Question by Bryson: Why do drug addicts think they are better than everyone else when they quit drugs for a few months?
My brother is like 20 and he had been on pretty strong drugs since high school. Now, he has been going to “counseling” and stuff and he has not used drugs (supposedly) in a few months. I think he is jusy playing the game though to get money and stuff from my parents, but that’s another story. Anyway he acts like he is better than everyone now, like he is such a great guy. He talks sh*t about my girlfriend behind my back saying that she is a drunk and all kinds of things. Have you known any people like this and why do they become like this? I honestly think he is still on something but “counseling” has taught him how to lie about it better.

I Want to Start My Own “Support Group”…(read On)?

Question by Joy Borrows: I want to start my own “support group”…(read on)?
I know what it’s like being on my own, feeling severely depressed and whatnot. And, I know lots of people who have been in the same boat as well. Thankfully, I’ve since got my life back on track 🙂 I guess, this has made me wonder…is there a way I can help others out? I’d love to start a little group where people can just come and go to support one another through the though times. It’d be about identifying oneself, knowing what makes them (the people who come to these “support one another” groups) happy and self-satisfied. You wouldn’t have to spill all of your problems of course- it’s more for being able to feel confident that you can cope with how things are going in your life (does that make any sense?) The group would be targeted at high school students (I’m in my last year of high school). I guess it’d be something of a “youth group” minus the religious parts. Do you think I could make this? And if so, how would I do it?

What Is the Drug Policy for the NFL?

Question by da baby: What is the drug policy for the NFL?
What is the drug policy for the NFL?

Best answer:

Answer by kathy k
Just say no! drug free.

Answer by ???
The NFL has toughened up its drug policy, adding amphetamines to the list of banned performance-enhancers starting this season.

Amphetamines were previously listed as a “substance-abuse drug,” but are now in the same category as steroids and other enhancers that carry much stronger penalties. This season will serve as a transition year, where a first positive test would bring a warning and put a player into the drug program.
