i’m not sure, but i don’t think that Ritalin would be as addictive as other things, but make sure your friend has all the facts down about how powerful it is and stuff, you never want to guesstimate how much you should use

Doctors, Nurses, and Anyone Else in the Medical Field I Have a Question About Comas?

Question by : Doctors, nurses, and anyone else in the medical field I have a question about comas?
How do people eat? Do they still… ‘go to the bathroom’ in that state? How long do they usually last?

Best answer:

Answer by Jill
They “eat” through feeding tubes placed into their stomach, which gives an infusion of a nutrient formula but isn’t really “food”. They are hydrated through IVs, and also can get nutrient infusions through the IV as well.
Yes, the kidneys still produce urine which goes into the bladder. The person would have a catheter placed into the bladder to drain the urine. The bowels would not produce much due to not eating solid foods, but the person would be incontinent and require the use of pads which would need to be changed as needed.
How long they last varies on the reason for the coma. Could be hours, days, weeks, or even years, sometimes decades.

Do I Have Some Kind of Syndrome?

Question by Turtle: Do I have some kind of syndrome?
There are tons of syndromes and disorders out there and the like, and after realising some of my more major quirks and oddities, I’ve thought to myself a few times that perhaps I have something that “makes me” like this.

To get straight to the point, I NEED rhythm. Even patterns. Meaning, I absolutely despise random noises that don’t come in patterns (like a water faucet dripping at an inconsistent pace), and get headaches and get very irritated when they are around. If I’m not tapping on my desk in school, I’m clicking my teeth in some kind of rhythm. I’m always tapping my feet, and sometimes in conversation, I almost start… sort of rapping. Not really, but I do speak with a very rhythmic tone. It’s as if I cannot escape rhythm in general.

Is This NATURAL for My Hands to Turn So Dry When I Sleep?

Question by chasvanblom: Is this NATURAL for my hands to turn so dry when I sleep?
My hands turn uncomfortably dry when I sleep. I notice a dry / cracked “scale” on my hands when I wake up each morning.
Rather than apply hand lotions to my hands before going to bed – which I feel I will wipe on my bedsheets, or thoughoughly washing before going to bed, what therapies can I try?

I am betting that my hands loose the blood pressure while I am resting.
