Med School Students and Doctors: Do You Party?

Question by Addex: Med school students and doctors: Do you party?
Med school students/aspiring or already established doctors lurking on the internet:

My whole life I’ve been working my *** off. My parents never had money, so I had to make it myself. I did very well in school with plenty of extra classes, so well in fact, that I graduated from high school a year early. I had my license and a job that made me 300 a week by the time I was 17. I’m now a sophomore in college with a 3.6 GPA at the moment (slightly lower than usual, but I’ll bring it back up no problem) working on two majors. With my own money, I’ve needed minimal financial aid. I want to be a surgeon (saving lives is a pretty honest line of work). So ****’s pretty cash right now.

The only thing is… Since I had the most money, and I was so well-rounded in high school and now in college, I managed to party hard as ****, with the best people, every weekend. Drinking, meth, molly, caps, tabs, and everything else that’ll mess you up aside from crack and smack. (yeah, I know about “long-term effects”. I also know that it only applies to long-term use.) When I had the time, I’d make thousands of dollars off of bulk on some of those drugs. I never hung out with sketchy people. Only been robbed once. Never been addicted to anything (I try to mix it up so I don’t get hooked. Obviously, you can become dependent on things like meth and cocaine if you’re not careful) and I have good self control. It’s just good to take a serious break and burn a lot of stress in the one or two nights I get a week to do it. It’s probably the only reason I am where I am right now, I would have an hero’d (off’d myself) because of the workload if I couldn’t party. I had a girlfriend, but we split up after high school (**** bitches, get money anyway).

With all that said, what’s med school like? Do I need to worry about all the people there being square as ****? Will I have time to party? Will the workload bury me? I know I can’t be the only doc who’s thought about it. I’d give up the drug culture if I had to, but it’s played such a positive role in my life I don’t want to say goodbye…

TL;DR: Do med school students party hard enough?

Also, I don’t want any white knights on this. Just legit answers. Idgaf about how you people can judge me, and what you have to preach. If you can’t handle the responsibility of drugs, and if others can’t, that’s their deal, not mine. I’ve been fine for years. I make enough honest money to buy myself a 2020 Mercedes and write classical music as a way to kill time when I’m sick of schoolwork. I’m not a bad guy, just a hard party.
Edit: I appreciate the input you guys. I can easily stop, I just wasn’t sure if I would have to. I don’t worry about getting caught, I’ve never even been close, even with urinalysis. For the record, I have never been to school, work, or even special public events while intoxicated or high on anything other than pain meds. The idea of losing everything is sickening. This weekend I was debating on making it a last hoorah and getting out of the drucult cold turkey, and with this info, it’s gonna happen. Gonna stick with weed a little while longer 😉 but that’s cuz I’ve got a card that says I can have it. Thanks all

Honestly dude, all you need for a good party is alcohol. Even being around too much weed can get you a felony; and after that, you can kiss med school goodbye.

You do realize in order to be a doctor, you can’t have drugs or alcohol in your system? Medical school is far too rigorous to be able to party..if you can’t have a life without drugs, and alcohol..Please, do the world a favor and DON’T go to medical school.

And yes, I do know, my boyfriend is in medical school and I’m going to be a doctor myself..in order to take on the responsibility of being or becoming a doctor, you can’t be retarded in the process.
