If Children Take Prescribed AD/HD Stimulants, Do They Become Addicted?

Question by Meh: If children take prescribed AD/HD stimulants, do they become addicted?
And if not, why not? And don’t just write a bunch of “facts” about the dangers of AD/HD meds you copy/pasted from some source. I’m asking a specific question.

They may become addicted when the drug is taken for a long time, what should be avoided. An information about addictive properties should be included on a drug leaflet.
To prevent children getting addicted, drugs should be changed on a different type of drug (different active substance not the brand only) after some time, like after a month.
Anyway I would never give my kid methamphetamine based “meds”…
