I Have Bad Migranes and the Doctor Has Prescribed a Narcotic?
Question by rebbles: I have bad migranes and the doctor has prescribed a narcotic?
Ok so i was wondering arnt narcotics extremeley addictive. I know i have a reason to take it and its been prescribed by the doctor but i dont even like taking medicine in the first place. What if someone was faking and they took it once or twice would they be addicted. Just wondering… medicine scares me. thanks.

It’s up to you, do you want the migraine or do you want relief. It is what it is.

Triptans and Beta Blockers (more prophylactic) are generally prescribed for migraine headache. Sometimes NSAIDs can help.
Migraine triggers include stress, lack of sleep, change of residence (especially moving across equator), dehydration, diet high in nitrates (cheese, wine, chocolate, etc)– so don’t ingest any nitrous oxide– and symptoms of withdrawal from drugs.
