How Do You Like My Motivational Speech “Do Some People Really Not Have a Chance”?

Question by Blane: How do you like my motivational Speech “Do some people really not have a chance”?
I have to give a short speech on motivation.
“I read a book one time about a police officer, one part of the book every night he gets a domestic violence report and is called to this woman’s house. He had fell in love with this woman and had many times tried to convince her to leave her husband or to press charges. But still every time she would just say “oh it was a accident” or “he only gets like this when he drink”of course that is every night. In till night he gets a call to see the husband not the woman..he knows why. When he gets there he finds the woman laying down in the bedroom dead.He looks at his partner and says that some people in this world just don’t have a chance. This made me think is,is there really people why don’t have a chance in this world. They say we all do but look at a woman who’s husband cheats on her then comes home just to beat her every night and still she stays.Or the 50 year old woman on the street selling her self just so she can by more heroine.Do they have a chance?Maybe its just some people aren’t smart enough or don’t have the resources but look at some of the most famous people in the world that had the most humbling beginnings. So no that cant be it.I believe that everyone has a chance but you have to choose to have one.It is not something you are born with or gave, it is a choice you make,A choice to break the cycle, the cycle of drugs, sex, abuse whatever it is.You have to say “i have a chance”.And once you get the guts to do that you are given it……..it is a gift you have to give yourself.”
Sorry for the spelling errors by the way By the way im 15

I like it, examples of people that seem to have no “chance” are okay but maybe you could also speak about someone that was in a bad position in life and took a chance to get out of that bad position.
e.g A man is addicted to heroine and struggles to free himself of the terrible addiction, he eventually turns to God, and with his faith in God fights the addiction and wins.
Then you can give your personal opinion at the end.

Hope this helped.
