How Do These Drugs Physically Harm You?

Question by Pranav: How do these drugs physically harm you?
I know that many drugs mess peoples lives up, and that people all react differently to them. I disagree when “facts” are made about these drugs, since nobody reacts exactly the same to them. I don’t want to know how these drugs make you feel, how much is needed, or anything like that. I do want to know however, how these drugs actually harm people on a physical level. Heroin, Cocaine, Crack, Ecstasy, Amphetamines. Feel free to talk about mushrooms, lsd, and marijuana, but there has been no compelling evidence to show that these PHYSICALLY harm people.

Cocain damages (numbs) the nerves in your brain that make you happy (and feel good, like sex), so at first it does make you happy but as people become depedent the nerves become more numb and you need more and more coke to become happy at all, normal physical things can’t make you happy any more, like sex. It eventually kills your brain and makes you crazy.

Ecstacy can drain your spinal fluid and make you paralysied. It makes you feel like your really firsty so you drink your self to death. Its one of those drugs where someone can take 10 and be fine and it just takes one for someone esle so them to go brain damaged

the problem with smoking marijuana is that you are inhaling smoke into your lungs, and although smoking pot has not been linked to lung cancer, the resign buildup that the smoke creates in your lungs can cause emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or asthma. I guess you dont wanna hear about all the phycological problems, so ill say that the main problem with pot is that it makes being bored fun, and when your standards for boredom have been lowered, you are less likely to be a productive individual in all aspects of your life. and this is a slow process, people often dont realize how its effecting them for a long time, how smoking pot is limiting themselves.

the problem with lsd is that taking it causes a chemical reaction in our brain that we don’t understand. but the lsd chemical is stored in your brain and spine for the rest of your life. and because your brain reacts to the drug, releases serotonin and has the psychedelic experience, it causes a change in your brain chemistry forever. something that we dont understand, and because of this, some people go bizerk, or just become a little bit more “out there” because of lsd. want examples? visit northern california.

ecstasy probably has the most dramatic effect on your brain out the two is listed above. and it does not have anything to do with your spine, or your central nervous system like a lot of people think. when you take it, it causes your brain to release all of its serotonin at once, the chemical you naturally release when you feel happy. because it is all released at once when you are rolling, it causes your serotonin receptors, the branches in your brain that deliver the serotonin to the pockets that fill certain parts of your brain, they flood and get all re arranged, they change direction, they shut off and die, and they even cause the serotonin to be moved backwards. this means that now all all the triggers in your life that cause you to feel emotion, mood, happiness and sadness, is unpredictable as to how your brain will react, and in some severe cases with people who use ecstasy too much, your neuron receptors are all destroyed and you dont feel anything, you feel like a robot with no emotions and your brain feels empty, and nobody can help you. my friend went through a phase where he was taking it every day, sometimes up to 10 pills at once, and now he feels nothing and said it completely ruined his life.

these are the only drugs i know about, i think mushrooms are harmless.
