Firstly, the creators accent is strong, so don’t worry if this was hard to pick up
Secondly, the best place for these questions is in the comments of the videos.
Thirdly, this video does not give sources for it’s outrageous claims, and likely includes tons of misinformation. When a video has a large percentage of dislikes, don’t be so quick to assume it is true.
5) “crack” is a street name for the the illegal narcotic “cocaine”. a “high” is the feeling of Euphoria produced by a drug. “or possibly writers high on crack” can mean “or maybe they are all just crazy” or in this case could mean “no one as paying attention when the artists slipped a joke into the opener”
4) many kids in english speaking countries learn a rhyme called “London bridge is falling down”. Its pretty catchy and fun, and includes a game that many kids play. The youtuber is suggesting that this fun song comes from a horrible story about trapping kids in walls until they die. A quick search shows that the real meaning is unknown, and the viking attack and child sacrifice theories are 2 of four possible explanations.
1) The “cat in the hat” is about a cat who shows up and causes a problem by accident, and then fixes the problem, but creates a BIGGER problem. This happens many times until its is out of control, but in the end, the cat sets it all right again. Its just a silly story, and the interpretation by the youtuber is ridiculous. the idea that a red and white striped hat is indicative a child molesting convict is horrifying and slanderous. It does not have a basis in fact. The children are not harmed in the book. Furthermore, those two lines are declared to be bad, but are actually a good conversation starter. Since kids are typically read this story by an adult, the adult can then say “don’t be afraid to tell me anything”.
