Decriminalizing Marijuana for Medicinal and Recreational Use?

Question by missbritt1969: Decriminalizing Marijuana For medicinal and recreational use?
Just wanted hear some opinions on this, as it is a huge issue across the board.
I have done thorough research on the use of cannabis.
Im amazed at the stupidity and ignorance of our general population.
I myself 100% support legalization. This so called “war on drugs” will never be won. We are wasting billions of our tax dollars a year housing prisoners, who are jailed simply for possession on marijuana. Its just silly. We need to be focusing on the more dangerous drugs like meth and heroin, going after real criminals instead of prosecuting someone for exercising their personal rights to smoke a flower.
Cannabis is the number one cash crop in the world. If it was regulated and taxed by the government, It would reap much profit and give some peace of mind to good tax paying citizens no longer having to worry about their lives being ruined because they choose to light up every once in a while.

I think the headline should be “lift the prohibition on marijuana cannabis”. To me saying “Decriminalizing Marijuana For medicinal and recreational use” neglects the industrial hemp aspect and decriminalized has become the States way of saying no charges and big fines to just make money. I am very wary of “regulated and taxed by the government”. The Gov should definitely not become my dealer and should not regulate. I’ve done the math when the Fed claims street value for a bust and the Feds pay way to much for an ounce. The States are anxious to gouge this industry with huge store license fees, huge yearly renewals and are liable to add an unfair ‘sin’ tax over regular sales tax.

I dig what your laying down. Always remember that the government is waiting to gauge us when ever they can. Keep up the good fight!
