Is Longterm Treatment From a Chiropractor Dangerous?
Question by mtlguy: Is Longterm Treatment From A Chiropractor Dangerous?
Example:
My shoulder is giving me problems, the only thing that seems to help is going to the chiropractor every week.
After months or even years of having your shoulder popped and cracked around wouldn’t the wear down on the joints making the problem worse?
It seems to me this is the process, and it encourages repeat business long-term.
I know people who go to the chiropractor and it seems they started off every 3 weeks then over a year need to go every week and there is never any long term solution..
What are your opinions on chiropractors?

I think treatment that frequently is the hallmark of someone who isn’t actually providing you with any relief! Perhaps you should see a physical therapist and massage therapist for a more long term solution.

you seem to presume that they’re all more or less the same in what they do. this is certainly not the case. you should not be getting your shoulder manipulated on a frequent basis. fact is, it’s actually not at all necessary nor corrective in the first place. it is not the purpose of chiropractic to treat symptoms, such as a shoulder misalignment. the actual purpose of genuine chiropractic is to correct the cause of nerve interference. period. most seem to think it’s some sort of manipulative therapy. this is not surprising, since certain morons who call themselves educational authorities in the field don’t even know what it is, and ignorantly call it musculoskeletal only in scope. the retards need to open a gray’s anatomy book to the beginning pages where it clearly states that the nervous system, “controls and coordinates all organs and structures of the human body”. the cause of bone misalignment is usually muscle imbalance/ elongation/weakness due to nerve interference. the solution is to correct the cause by normalizing innervation, not endlessly hammering away at effects/symptoms which can only fail. see an hio method chiropractor.
