You can commonly here the phrase “drugs and alcohol”. Why is alcohol not a “drug”?

Because the alcohol lobby has pushed for it to be so. The fact is though that alcohol is worse for you than basically any type of illegal drug besides like meth or heroin.

Because you pay a Federal & State Excise tax on it. It’s all about the money.
