What does this mean? Even when I moisturizer And use lotion, they still “crack.” That’s whiat it looks like. It’s like the lines of my finger prints are just cracking open and I’m scurred. It’s only happening on one finger. (Index-Rigt Hand) and they’re starting to split all the way down my one finger gradually. What is happening?

That’s happening to me, too, as a result of dry skin. A combination of cold air, low humidity, washing your hands often, and not wearing gloves outside will do it. I’ve lived in Sacramento, Long Beach, Houston, Chicago, and currently in Denver, and this is the worst I’ve ever experienced it. Put a bandage with Neosporin on the cracked skin to heal the cut. Then keep moisturizing your hands as often as you can (especially before bed), use hand soap with moisturizers, and wear gloves outside at all times. If the cracked skin doesn’t start looking better after a couple days of this treatment, see your doctor.
