Affects on a Baby in the First Month of Pregnancy?
Question by April: affects on a baby in the first month of pregnancy?
A close friend of mine thinks she may be pregnant, but she wont know if she has missed a period because her method of birth control only gives her 4 periods a year. She has never been into drugs or alcohol but in the past month she has done cocaine, mushrooms, and a lot of binge drinking. I don’t need to hear about how stupid all that is and how she shouldn’t have done it or had unprotected sex in the first place (because I know, and so does she) but how would that effect a baby in the first month of pregnancy? Is there even a chance for a normal child if she has quit everything now that she knows she may be affecting another person as well as herself?

She can try the quick pregnancy test they sell in every drugstore and know for sure if she’s pregnant or not.
And to the best of my knowledge there are not lingering effects to drugs.
